Well wedding season is in full swing now and along with the weddings come the hen and stag nights. Which to some people can be just as important as the wedding!
Its not always just the night out in your local town to celebrate anymore, majority of people now have a whole weekend of celebrations and go away with their closet friends.
There are all sorts of different themes for these weekends away. Ladies are a bit gentler on the future bride so the costumes are usually not that embarrassing and then few accessories are added such as inflatable willies and Bride to be sashes. They all have a good time and nothing too horrific is inflicted on the hen. We have a huge range of different items suitable for a hen weekend and night. Sashes, inflatables, shot glasses, badges, games and many more items all available on our website and we also keep a large range in our branch too.
Stag weekends are slightly different to a hen weekend as the guys usually try and humiliate the stag as much as possible! They try and find the most embarrassing costume if it be a mankini or even dressing the man in a womans costume, stag weekends are no holds barred! Again the costume choices are endless and we also do a good selection of accessories to help the stag stand out from the crowd!
If you need any ideas have a look at our stag and hen night range on our website as you may find something that you hadn’t thought of or you might find exactly what it is you are looking for.
There are no set themes for these weekend so the world is your oyster, have a look at the different fancy dress categories to help give you some inspiration and set the theme for your fantastic weekend away or night out!
At Party world UK we are always bringing attention to some worthwhile fundraising events. Well now we are very pleased and proud to bring attention to one of our very own and encourage people to donate for race for life.
One of our colleagues took part in race for life for the first time last year and she managed to raise over £100 all on her own! That was a great achievement so this year we want to help and raise even more awareness to help her smash her target from last year.
Race for life helps so many people and families that are affected by the horrible disease cancer. This is a fantastic and worthwhile cause to help in the fight against this horrible illness and help in the treatment and development of treatments so that more and more people each year can say they have beaten it.
Last year Karen completed the Race for life 5K in Cardiff and completed it in 42 minutes which is amazing. This year she is hoping to run the whole course and beat last years time, if she manages this then she has the 10K in her sights for 2015.
After completing this race once she was adamant that she would compete every year there after. It is a charity that is close to her heart and she wants to help in any way she can. We would also like to encourage others to take part also. Race for life takes place in many different areas all over Britain so you are sure to find a race to compete in near you. If you are unable to compete then please donate to someone, even if it is just £1 as those £1’s make all the difference.
We have included the Just giving page details for Karen’s charity page so that you know it is all secure and we will post a copy of the confirmation letter once all the donations have been paid in full. Please help this fantastic cause. Many thanks.

A fantastic runner set to take on London marathon, barefoot!
Jonathan Barrow from Ripon has said he will run the London marathon barefoot, in fancy dress and with his hands tied together if he can get a sponsor for £7000.
The reason behind this is Jonathan would like to donate the money to a charity called Starlight Childrens Foundation, a charity that grants the wishes of seriously and terminally ill children. The charity will then use the money to provide entertainment in hospitals and hospices across the UK and send 8 year old Jack Rookes and his family to take a trip to Disneyworld, Florida.
Jack was diagnose with cystic fibrosis when he was a toddler. Cystic Fibrosis is a life shortening illness that severely effects the major organs of the body particularly the lungs.
Mr Barrow says his feet are already sore as he has been training and competing races in the run up to the London marathon.
Mr Barrow, 36, said he would run barefoot if his sponsorship topped £3,000, barefoot and in fancy dress for more than £5,000 and barefoot and in fancy dress with his arms tied together for in excess of £7,000.
He said: “The work Starlight does to bring smiles and happy memories to seriously and terminally ill children is wonderful and I am really thrilled to be supporting it.
“I feel compelled to do what I can to help Jack achieve his dream and bring some sunshine into what has been a difficult start to life.”
Although PartyWorld UK are not directly linked to this amazing story we would love to bring more awareness to this to help Mr Barrow raise as much sponsorship as possible.
Please click on the Virgin money link and donate whatever you can to help this worthwhile cause.

A Fancy dress challenge for charity has been set by a young woman called Samantha Humphreys. Samantha, 29, has been wearing 30 different outfits, 1 per day, leading up to her 30th birthday.
As well as it being a bit of fun, Samantha has set herself a £300 target to raise for a children’s cancer charity. Costumes include Madonna, Tinkerbell, Dorothy, Minnie Mouse and many more.
She said: ‘I love dressing up – this is perfect for me. Because it’s coming up to my 30th, everyone was asking me what I wanted or what I was doing.
‘I just thought I want to do something different, not what everyone else does.’
She has borrowed, hired, and acquired other outfits from many different places to complete her own challenge of wearing the 30 different costumes before her birthday on April 12th.
Samantha from Neath in South Wales is donating all the money that she raises to children’s cancer charity Clic Sargeant. An amazing worth while cause.
