go green in walesOn May 23rd the NSPCC are asking people to go green in Wales. The campaign is in aid of ChildLine School Services.

You can GO Green in any way you like, as long as it’s green, you can do it. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Pay a £1 and wear something green for the day. Have a green uniform day, paint your face, wear a green hat, dye your hair or create a green fancy dress costume.
  • Hold a green food day and be sponsored to eat a mountain of sprouts or bathe in a bath of green mushy peas.
  • Have a green goodie stall and sell green cakes and sweet treats.

How ChildLine School Services works.

Whether on phone or online, Childline is available 365 days a year to support children and young people, whatever their worry.

The ChildLine Schools Service recruits and trains volunteers to talk to primary school children about different forms of abuse and ways to stay safe.

After completing the recruitment and training process, volunteers visit primary schools in their local area and deliver empowering assemblies and workshops.

These will give children the confidence to talk about different types of abuse including bullying, offer support to friends and ask for help if they need it.
